reflections

Reflections is a collection built around the moments that test you, wake you up, and pull something stronger to the surface.

Each piece captures a woman caught between force and freedom — speed, fire, water, altitude, solitude, and escape. The black-and-white portraits are created through dry brushing onto a textured canvas and detailed painting, keeping each figure grounded, raw, and intentional. Then the reflection breaks open in color.

The fully colored pieces bring that energy into the open — built with heavy texture, bold palette knife work, and movement that feels alive. They feel sunlit, loose, and free, carrying the same strength with more warmth, motion, and release.

This collection is about more than what these women are looking at. It is about what they have already faced, what they refuse to carry, and the moment they choose to keep going — with sun on their face, grit in their bones, and their own kind of freedom staring back at them.

To the collector, I hope you see more than the image in front of you. I hope you recognize a feeling, a memory, or a moment of your own — something you have lived through, walked away from, or are still finding the strength to face.

Thanks

Amanda Villa
